Edmonds Driftwood Players offers 2025 theater scholarships

The Edmonds Driftwood Players, a nonprofit community theatre, proudly announces its 2025 Scholarship program, which will award three $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing theatre arts. The scholarships available are the Ralph Eaton Technical Theatre Scholarship, the Theatre Arts Scholarship, and the AC & Norma Gehrig Memorial Scholarship. To qualify, applicants must be graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled college students residing in Snohomish, King, or nearby counties. Priority will be given to students with technical theatre majors for the Ralph Eaton scholarship. The deadline for applications is June 8, 2025, and all submissions must be made via email.

Interested students are required to submit a comprehensive application packet, including personal information, a list of theatrical experiences, a letter of recommendation, an essay detailing their interest in theatre, extracurricular activities, and transcripts. The scholarship honors the legacy of Ralph Eaton and the Gehrig family, emphasizing the importance of community support in the arts. This initiative not only promotes education but also encourages young talent to pursue their passion in the performing arts.
