Whats up with the butterfly decals on Lynnwood-owned buildings?

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The recent partnership between Lynnwood and Cocoon House introduces butterfly decals at city-owned facilities, symbolizing the Wings program aimed at aiding young individuals facing housing challenges. Each decal features a QR code that links directly to the Wings program webpage, facilitating access to critical resources. The U-Turn drop-in center, located in Everett, serves as a hub for youth, offering showers, food, and comprehensive case management services. Established in 1991, Cocoon House has expanded its mission to combat youth homelessness through a continuum of support programs. Outreach Director Jill-marie Costello highlighted the initiative's intent to reach as many young people as possible throughout Snohomish County.

The Wings program was launched late last year, addressing the complexities of navigating the housing system for both youth and adults. Businesses interested in contributing to this cause can reach out to Costello via email. This collaboration underscores a community commitment to supporting vulnerable youth and enhancing their access to essential services.
