School district to hold community QA on replacement campuses April 23

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Edmonds School District is set to host a community meeting on April 23, from 6–7 p. m. at College Place Middle School, focusing on the replacement projects for College Place Elementary and Middle School. These projects have transitioned into the design development stage, emphasizing the importance of community input in shaping educational facilities. Over the past year, the district has engaged stakeholders through eight Design Review Committee meetings, two community meetings, and multiple focus group discussions.

This collaborative effort has allowed the district to refine its designs based on feedback from the community. With construction anticipated to begin in summer 2026, the new schools are expected to be ready for students by the 2028-2029 school year. The district is committed to transparency, providing ongoing updates and schematic designs on the Capital Projects website. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure in the area. Residents are encouraged to participate and share their insights during the meeting.
