Light rail schedule changing to accommodate Pinehurst Station construction

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Link light rail service is set for temporary schedule changes, with trains running every 12 minutes on weekday evenings and weekends from March 24 to April 13, and again from April 28 to May 29. The adjustments include specific departure times for northbound and southbound services from Angle Lake and Lynnwood City Center stations. Crews will be on-site at Pinehurst Station for construction, working to install staircases that will facilitate passenger access. During these disruptions, passengers must use designated platforms depending on the time frame and direction of travel. The construction is part of Sound Transit’s broader initiative to expand light rail service, which will eventually connect downtown Redmond and enhance reliability for future riders.

A language line is available for those who need translation assistance, promoting inclusivity among riders. Passengers are advised to sign up for rider alerts to stay updated, particularly as construction schedules may shift due to weather conditions. The expansion aims to provide service as frequently as every four minutes once completed, significantly improving transit options in the region.
