David Allen Rice Remembered for his kindness, quick wit, love of family

David Allen Rice, a cherished resident of Mountlake Terrace, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 64 after battling several health issues. His adventurous childhood took him from Seattle to various parts of the world, including Japan and Germany, which shaped his vibrant personality. Serving in the U. S. Navy from 1978 to 1982 as a photographer, he developed a keen eye for capturing life's moments.

After his service, he settled in Edmonds and married Karin on November 18, 1995, and together they built a loving family, raising their children, Katelyn and Christopher. Dave worked at Olympic Brakes until his retirement in 2021 due to health complications, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and humor. He was known for his vast collection of obscure facts, which he shared with anyone willing to listen. A celebration of his life will take place on April 13, 2025, at the Edmonds Church of God, where family and friends can gather to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church in his name are encouraged, reflecting his commitment to community and family.
