Gunnvor Tveidt, born on March 23, 1945, in Kristiansand, Norway, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2025, just weeks shy of her 80th birthday. She was a beloved figure known for her leadership in the Lynnwood Rotary and her deep commitment to her family. After moving to the U. S. in the early 1970s, she co-founded a successful business brokerage firm with her husband, Jay, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit.

Gunnvor was not only a dedicated mother and grandmother but also a trailblazer who embraced feminist ideals, believing that love is an action verb. Her passion for community service was evident in her involvement with local projects, particularly through the Rotary Organization and Foss Home. She was a source of inspiration, balancing her roles as a businesswoman and a nurturing family member. Gunnvor’s legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched with her generosity and optimism. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
