Kathryn Opina has been appointed as the interim CEO of Housing Hope and HopeWork, following the departure of former CEO Donna Moulton. Moulton left to address family matters in Florida, prompting the executive board to seek a capable leader to maintain continuity. Opina has served as the lead operations and general administrator for two years and has a strong background in nonprofit management, particularly with the Salvation Army. Under her guidance, Housing Hope operates 601 affordable housing units and has helped 328 households achieve homeownership through its Team HomeBuilding program. The executive board expressed their confidence in Opina, highlighting her collaborative approach and commitment to the organization's mission.

She will work closely with the board of directors and the strategic leadership team during this transition. The focus will remain on providing essential housing solutions in Snohomish County while the search for a permanent CEO begins. This move is crucial for Housing Hope's ongoing efforts to support the community through affordable housing initiatives.
