Jim Blossey, a respected figure in the Edmonds community, passed away on February 27, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia. Born in Spokane and a graduate of Washington State University, Blossey served in the Navy before embarking on a successful career in radio broadcasting and advertising. He dedicated 18 years to being a radio disc jockey, making a significant impact on the local media landscape. As a community leader, he was the charter President of the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club and instrumental in establishing the Rotary Homeless Youth Foundation. His efforts in revitalizing downtown Edmonds transformed the area into a bustling community hub, showcasing his commitment to local development.

Blossey also worked pro bono for various charitable organizations, demonstrating his dedication to service. His contributions to the Port of Edmonds and the Edmonds Waterfront Festival further solidified his status as a community pillar. A funeral service is scheduled for March 21 at Holy Rosary Church, allowing the community to come together to celebrate his life and legacy.
