Center lane closure on 44th Ave W planned for Feb. 20-21

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Starting February 20-21, Sound Transit will conduct median landscaping work on 44th Avenue West in Lynnwood, resulting in the closure of the center lane on southbound traffic from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. daily.

The left-turn lane will also be closed, creating a need for a detour for eastbound travelers on Alderwood Mall Boulevard. This essential construction is part of ongoing efforts to beautify the area and enhance safety for both drivers and pedestrians. Residents and commuters are encouraged to adjust their travel plans to avoid congestion during the construction period. Timely updates will be shared with the community to ensure everyone is informed about the project's progress and any further traffic changes. Sound Transit is committed to minimizing disruption while completing this important work.

The project highlights the agency's focus on improving local infrastructure and public spaces. As the landscaping takes shape, it is expected to contribute positively to the Lynnwood area’s overall environment.
