Roberta “Berta” McKee, an esteemed Edmonds resident, died at the age of 94 on December 27, 2024. Born on November 5, 1930, in Mount Vernon, WA, she was a dedicated school teacher and church organist, leaving a lasting legacy in her community. Her closest companion was her sister Marjorie “Marjie” Cadwallader, with whom she shared a rich upbringing on a dairy farm in Avon. Roberta was an alumna of Seattle Pacific College and the University of Washington, furthering her commitment to education. A memorial service will be held on March 9, 2025, at the Little White Church in Edmonds, with a burial following on March 10 in Burlington.

Her family has expressed heartfelt thanks to the staff at Crista Senior Living for their care during her final years. In honor of her philanthropic spirit, donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Roberta's life exemplified dedication to education and community service, inspiring those around her.
