Washington Kids in Transition March 29 event supports local students in need

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Scheduled for March 29 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lynnwood, the "Out of Jeopardy" annual fundraising auction aims to raise funds for Washington Kids in Transition, which supports unhoused and low-income students in the area. Attendees will enjoy a variety of activities, including tray-passed appetizers, a silent auction, and a popular dessert dash, alongside a live auction featuring exclusive items and experiences. The proceeds from this event will directly fund critical programs that provide motel vouchers, rental assistance, and emergency supplies for families in need. Washington Kids in Transition has been a pivotal resource in the community for nearly a decade, working closely with school social workers to help students stay in school and thrive. Tickets are available for $110 each, or groups can reserve a table for $1,000.

Additionally, the organization is still accepting donations for the silent auction, particularly gift cards from local businesses, to enhance the auction's offerings. This event not only provides essential support to vulnerable families but also fosters community engagement and awareness around the issues of homelessness and poverty among students.
