Hear a Boom this Fourth of July? Know Who to Call.

Lynnwood, WALocal News

In preparation for the Fourth of July holiday, the City of Lynnwood, Washington, is issuing a reminder about the local ban on fireworks to ensure community safety. Fireworks usage is illegal in Lynnwood and surrounding Southwest Snohomish County, although residents might still witness them being used in their neighborhoods. The Lynnwood Police Department is actively enforcing this ban, and residents are encouraged to report any illegal fireworks to the non-emergency police number, 425-407-3999. It is crucial for individuals to provide specific addresses when calling about complaints, as law enforcement will have a higher volume of calls during this festive period. In cases of immediate threats to life or property, residents must dial 911.

The city warns that social media accounts, including those of the police department, are not suitable for reporting emergencies. The message concludes with a wish for a happy and safe Fourth of July for all community members. This initiative underlines the city’s dedication to maintaining safety and order during one of the most celebrated holidays of the year.
