Everett Police searching for person who stabbed 13-year-old boy

A 13-year-old boy walking to North Middle School in Everett was stabbed in a shocking incident reported on Thursday morning around 8 a. m. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, a Black male about six feet tall, who was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and a yellow beanie. The victim was quickly taken to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. Despite a thorough search involving K9 units and drones, the suspect remains at large.

Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin voiced her distress over the attack, recalling her own experiences walking the same route with her daughter. She reassured the community that the Everett Police Department is committed to finding the suspect using all available resources. Police have urged anyone with information to reach out, highlighting the importance of community involvement in ensuring safety. In the wake of the incident, authorities will increase their presence around schools to help reassure parents and students alike.
