Lynnwood, WASports

On December 30, 2024, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors secured a 45-31 victory over the Cedarcrest Red Wolves, highlighted by Finley Wicher's outstanding fourth-quarter performance, scoring 10 of her game-high 15 points. The Warriors built a nine-point lead in the first half, but Cedarcrest fought back to close the gap to three points early in the third quarter. A pivotal 3-pointer from senior Abi Porter shifted momentum back to Edmonds-Woodway, who then outscored Cedarcrest 16-5 over the next eight minutes. Coach Quinn Manning praised her team's effort, especially given the absence of key players Darcy Brennan and Jasmine Gill. The Warriors' ability to manage the game and maintain their lead reflects their growth this season, with an impressive overall record of 8-1, marking significant improvement from the previous year.

They are developing a competitive edge in a challenging league and are eager to build on this success.
