Lynnwood, WALocal News

Jheneah Elowyn Horne made her debut at 12:22 a. m. on January 1, 2025, becoming the first baby born at Providence Swedish Edmonds in the new year. Weighing 7. 2 pounds and measuring 20 inches, she is the first grandchild and great-grandchild on both sides of her family, amplifying the joy of her arrival for her parents, Amber-Lynne Rickett and Steffen Horne.

The couple expressed their aspirations to marry and raise their daughter with values of kindness and strength. Jheneah's middle name, Elowyn, carries a poignant story, inspired by a baby who tragically lost her battle with cancer, serving as a reminder to cherish life's blessings. Providence Swedish Edmonds also highlighted that babies born in 2025 will belong to Generation Beta, projected to form 16% of the global population by 2035. This new generation will be the children of younger millennials and older Gen Zers, many of whom are expected to live into the 22nd century. The announcement of Jheneah's birth brings both local joy and a glimpse into future demographic shifts, as Amber-Lynne and Steffen look forward to nurturing their child in a loving environment.
