Thieves steal limited edition e-scooter from Renton home

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Authorities in Renton, Washington, are investigating the theft of a limited edition Formula 1 Red Bull racing e-scooter from the Fife family's garage on December 30, 2024. This scooter, one of only 30 produced to commemorate the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, is of great sentimental value to the family, who bought it during their first Formula 1 race in Amsterdam. The theft occurred while the family was asleep, with three suspects reportedly entering the garage and escaping in a Mercedes GLC 300. Neighbors have indicated that these individuals may also be responsible for other local thefts, including stolen iPads from a nearby rental car. The e-scooter is easily identifiable due to its 'Red Bull' branding and the signatures of renowned drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

Renton Police are actively seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects captured on surveillance footage, and the community is encouraged to remain vigilant as these suspects may be involved in a series of thefts. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Renton Police Department.
