Boy killed, another injured in Lynnwood NYE shooting

A New Year's Eve shooting in Lynnwood, Washington, resulted in the death of a young boy and left another boy injured. The shooting was reported at approximately 8:19 p. m. in the 19700 block of 68th Avenue West, where police found the deceased victim in a parking lot. The second boy, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Lynnwood police are currently searching for two suspects who fled the scene on foot, and they believe the shooting was an isolated incident that poses no ongoing threat to the public. The police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to reach out to Detective Sattarov at 425-977-5642. This tragic event underscores ongoing concerns about youth violence in the community, especially during festive occasions.
