This event will feature a roundtable discussion with local legislators, focusing on key legislative issues and developments expected in the upcoming session of the Washington State Legislature. Alicia Crank, a representative from NWCC, highlighted the need for residents to understand how local legislators interact with state representatives, emphasizing the interconnectedness of various legislative bodies. Tickets for the event are available for $20 through the NWCC website, with sponsorship opportunities also offered.

Participating legislators include State Reps April Berg and Shelley Kloba, as well as city council members from Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds. Although the event is primarily focused on Snohomish County, attendees from other counties are encouraged to participate in discussions. The NWCC has secured early partnership support from organizations like Braver Angels, Civic Genius, and GSBA to enhance the event’s impact. This gathering aims to foster civic engagement and knowledge about local governance among community members.
