Seahawks lose game, grip on postseason

Lynnwood, WASports

The Seattle Seahawks faced a significant setback in their playoff pursuit, losing 27-24 to the Minnesota Vikings at Lumen Field. Coach Mike Macdonald voiced frustration over the team's ongoing issues, including penalties and failure to score on opening drives. With this loss, the Seahawks have now dropped six of their last nine home games, putting their postseason aspirations at risk. Quarterback Geno Smith struggled, throwing two interceptions, the last of which sealed the Vikings' victory. On a positive note, Jaxon Smith-Njigba surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the season.

However, the Seahawks' rushing game was limited to just 59 yards, and Kenneth Walker III left the game with an ankle injury. To keep their playoff hopes alive, Seattle must win their remaining two games, starting with a crucial matchup against the Chicago Bears, and they will also need assistance from other teams, particularly the Los Angeles Rams, who must lose their final games.
