Woman suffers severe burns in Lynnwood house fire

A serious house fire in Lynnwood on Sunday evening resulted in a woman in her 50s being rushed to Harborview Medical Center with severe burns. The incident took place around 5:30 p. m. at a two-story residence in the 6200 block of 185th Place SW. South County Fire crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames and smoke, necessitating immediate action to control the fire.

While the injured woman was transported to the hospital, another person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The fire displaced four residents from the home, who were assisted by the Red Cross with accommodations and support. Firefighters successfully rescued a dog trapped inside the burning house, showcasing their commitment to protecting both people and pets. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with authorities working diligently to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
