Police: Man suffered brain injury in attack at Lynnwood gas station

A violent altercation occurred in Lynnwood when two teenagers attacked a 37-year-old man in a gas station parking lot, resulting in serious injuries. The confrontation began just before 8:15 p. m. at the 76 station on Alderwood Mall Parkway when the man approached the teens' yellow Chevy Camaro. One of the suspects punched the man, and the other followed with a brutal stomp to his head while he was on the ground.

Police found the victim unresponsive and bleeding, necessitating immediate medical attention. He was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, skull fractures, and a broken nose. Both teens were arrested and charged with first-degree assault, with the 18-year-old suspect held on substantial bail. This alarming incident underscores ongoing issues of youth violence and its implications for community safety in Lynnwood.
