Memorial walk to honor victims of Marysville Pilchuck shooting

On Thursday, the Marysville community will come together for a memorial walk to honor the victims of the tragic mass shooting at Marysville Pilchuck High School, which occurred ten years ago. The shooting claimed the lives of four students—Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, Andrew Fryberg, Zoe Galasso, and Gia Soriano—and left Nate Hatch as the sole survivor, suffering serious injuries. Organized by Uniting Stories, a coalition focused on community resilience, the event aims to provide strength and peace for the families and friends of those affected. Participants are asked to meet at Quil Ceda Stadium at 6:30 p. m.

, with the walk scheduled to begin at 7 p. m. Mini-light candles will be provided by the Marysville Noon Rotary, and attendees are advised not to bring or light any other type of candles. The memorial walk commemorates the lives lost and supports the ongoing healing process for individuals and the community as a whole, serving as a powerful reminder of the tragic events that have shaped many lives over the past decade.
