The candidates are Paul Ryan, Monroe's administrative commander; Ronald Schaub, police chief of Fircrest; Kevin Turner, with experience as a police chief in Utah and Ferndale; and Shawn Boyle, interim chief from Yakima. A public reception is set for Monday, allowing community members to meet the candidates and hear brief presentations.
