Edmonds Climate Committee Seeks New Members

The Edmonds Mayors’ Climate Protection Committee is actively seeking new members to amplify its initiatives addressing the impacts of climate change in the community. Appointed by Mayor Mike Rosen, the committee meets monthly to discuss practical solutions for reducing the city’s environmental footprint and enhancing resilience among residents and local businesses. New members will represent underserved communities and develop strategies to engage the public regarding the city’s Climate Action Plan. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month from 11 a. m.

to 12:30 p. m. , with both in-person and virtual attendance options to promote inclusivity. Interested applicants can easily access the application process online or reach out via email or phone for more information. This initiative is crucial for fostering community awareness and participation in local governance, especially given increasing climate-related challenges.
