1 killed, 3 injured in rollover crash on Highway 530

A rollover crash on Highway 530 in Trafton on Friday evening resulted in one death and three injuries shortly after 7 p. m. The incident began when a black Chevrolet turned onto the highway and was struck from behind by a speeding Ford F-150 pickup truck. This collision forced the Chevrolet off the road into a ditch, while the Ford rolled over into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a third vehicle. The driver of the Ford F-150 was declared dead at the scene, and three other individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Washington State Patrol has indicated that speeding was a contributing factor in the crash. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently working to identify the deceased. Highway 530 was closed for several hours as investigators gathered evidence and conducted inquiries. This tragic event underscores ongoing concerns regarding road safety and the importance of adhering to speed limits.
