Everett man identified after fatal crash into pole in Lake Stevens

Authorities have identified Earnest Ashley Jr. , 44, as the victim of a fatal crash in Lake Stevens on November 13. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Ashley died from blunt force injuries after his Honda sedan collided with a light pole. The accident occurred at approximately 8:51 p. m.

when Ashley ran a red light at the intersection of Highway 204 and 91st Avenue NE. He died at the scene, while a male passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Lake Stevens Police Department is investigating the incident, but no new updates have been provided as of Tuesday. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the critical importance of obeying traffic signals and practicing safe driving habits, prompting local authorities to consider further measures to enhance traffic safety and prevent similar incidents.
