Nighttime lane reductions on northbound I-5 in Everett start Monday, Nov. 11 - Lynnwood Today

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Beginning on Monday, November 11, two right lanes on northbound I-5 in Everett will be closed nightly from 8 p. m. to 6 a. m. until November 15, impacting traffic flow in the area.

This closure is part of the Washington State Department of Transportation's initiative to improve the I-5/SR 529 interchange, a key route for local commuters. The construction aims to enhance safety and reduce congestion, addressing long-standing traffic issues in the region. Motorists are advised to prepare for delays and seek alternative routes during the construction period. Signage and traffic management strategies will be put in place to assist drivers navigating through the area. The improvements are part of a broader effort to modernize the infrastructure and accommodate growing traffic demands.

Local residents and frequent travelers are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress. This initiative underscores the importance of ongoing infrastructure upgrades in maintaining efficient transportation networks.
