Edmonds police warn public after woman robbed in WINCO parking lot

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Edmonds police issued a warning following a robbery involving an elderly woman in the WINCO parking lot on Friday. The victim was forcibly robbed of her jewelry and knocked to the ground during the assault. Authorities shared a photo of the suspect vehicle and are investigating a potential organized crew targeting victims with distraction methods. Police noted that suspects often surveil individuals before offering items, such as electronics or jewelry, to confuse them. Descriptions of the suspects indicate they may have dark skin or belong to Roma/Romani or Middle Eastern descent.

Residents are encouraged to stay alert, educate family members about their surroundings, and report any suspicious activity. The police are collaborating with regional law enforcement to address this issue effectively. Anyone who has experienced a similar robbery is urged to contact local law enforcement.
