South County cold weather shelter in Lynnwood will be open Nov. 29

The South County cold weather shelter will open at Maple Park Church in Lynnwood on Nov. 29 as temperatures are predicted to fall below 34°F. Community Transit and Everett Transit are providing no-fare transportation for individuals traveling to and from the shelter, requiring only that riders inform the bus driver of their destination. A van will facilitate transportation from Lynnwood City Hall, James Village, and Value Village starting at 7 p. m.

Guests may arrive by car, and parking is available at the church; however, walk-ups will not be accepted. Check-in will occur between 7 p. m. and 9 p. m.
