The South County Cold Weather Shelter at Maple Park Lutheran Church prepares to provide shelter as winter temperatures approach. Managed by Volunteers of America Western Washington, the facility opens nightly when temperatures reach 34 degrees or below. Guests can check the availability of shelters through a regularly updated Snohomish County website. Intake times vary, with 7-10 p. m.

being standard, except for Wednesdays, which start at 9-11 p. m. A shuttle service picks up guests from designated locations, including Lynnwood City Hall and Value Village. Additionally, Community Transit and Everett Transit offer free rides to the shelters. Daytime warming centers are also available in Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, and Lynnwood, operating during regular hours.

The warming center in Lynnwood is located at the library on 44th Ave. W.
