Get help with senior and disabled property tax exemption at workshop Nov. 19, 20

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Workshops at the Edmonds Waterfront Center on November 19 and 20 will assist seniors in applying for property tax reductions. During these sessions, volunteers will help confirm eligibility and complete application forms. Households must demonstrate a net disposable income under $75,000 to qualify for the exemption, which can significantly lower their property tax burden. This program has existed for many years, yet many seniors are unaware of its benefits. Homeowners who have applied often report that their property taxes are cut in half.

In addition to the workshops, seniors can visit the County Assessor office in Everett for assistance without needing an appointment. The program allows applications for up to three previous years, providing potential financial relief for those who qualify. More information is available on the Snohomish County website.
