Community input sought on potential Edmonds School District boundary changes

The Edmonds School District is seeking community input on potential changes to school attendance boundaries, with a review scheduled for fall 2026. A boundary revision survey is currently open and will close on November 14, allowing students, staff, and community members to provide feedback. Additionally, the district invites applications for the Boundary Review Committee until November 21, targeting students in grades 7 to 12, families, staff, and community members. The committee's work will focus on establishing boundaries for a new middle school, which is set to open in fall 2028. This initiative aims to balance enrollment across elementary and middle schools as the district transitions sixth grade from elementary to middle school.

Once established, the committee will collaborate with FLO Analytics to review current boundaries and propose new ones. The district emphasizes the importance of community input in shaping these changes. Survey links are available in multiple languages, ensuring broader accessibility.
