Nov. 15 food, sock drive in Edmonds to benefit local veterans

Edmonds American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 8870 will hold a food and sock drive on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.

at the Wilcox Construction Red Barn in downtown Edmonds. The drive aims to collect non-perishable food, new socks, and underwear for local veterans in need. Cash and credit card donations will be accepted, with food donations designated for the Edmonds and Lynnwood food banks. American Legion Post Commander Dan Mullene highlighted the growing need for support, noting that over 50,000 veterans reside in Snohomish County, particularly during winter. VFW Post Commander Duane Bowman expressed gratitude for community responses to previous drives, which resulted in significant contributions.
