Traveling exhibition on climate change opens at Edmonds College Nov. 17
Edmonds College will host the National Center for Atmospheric Research’s traveling exhibit, “Resilient Earth, Resilient Communities,” starting Nov. 17, running until Jan. 31. This exhibit addresses the significant consequences of climate change and severe weather events, with a focus on local impacts in the Pacific Northwest. Rachel Wade, a committee member, highlighted that weather disasters affect communities across the country, including Washington state.
The exhibition will feature interactive content, art, and poetry created by students, enhancing community engagement with environmental issues. Admission is free, allowing individuals to visit during library hours or schedule guided tours for groups. The Environmental Justice Committee played a crucial role in bringing this exhibit to Washington state. Visitors can participate in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of climate science. This initiative aims to foster resilience and preparedness within the community.
