Help design Rowe Park at Nov. 6 Lynnwood workshop

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Lynnwood invites residents to a workshop on November 6 to contribute ideas for the redesign of Rowe Park, which has been largely untouched since its purchase in 2000. Proposed improvements include a play area, wildlife habitat enhancement, and upgraded street access, all to create a more engaging community space. The total estimated project cost is $4 million, with construction slated to begin in March 2028 and a ribbon-cutting ceremony in spring 2029. Seattle-based HBB Landscape Architecture has been selected to execute the early design phases for $150,000. Community input will play a critical role in shaping the final master plan, which will also focus on preserving existing mature trees.

Residents are encouraged to take part in an online survey to share their thoughts. This effort aligns with the city's goal to enhance local parks and increase recreational opportunities. Feedback collected will be vital for securing construction funding from state grants.
