Edmonds School Board Oct. 28 to consider 2026 levy, identify legislative priorities

The Edmonds School District Board of Directors is set to vote on a proposed 2026 replacement levy during its meeting on October 28. This replacement levy will aim to continue funding for educational programs, as the current authorization expires at the end of 2026. In addition to the levy, the board will discuss changes to district policy, including updates to nutrition, recess, and wellness policies. Legislative priorities for 2026 will also be reviewed, focusing on special education and student health initiatives. The board will consider extending the current 2021-2026 Strategic Plan through the 2026-27 school year to ensure continuity in educational goals.

Students and staff from Spruce Elementary will present their initiatives during the meeting, highlighting student engagement. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p. m. at the Educational Service Center in Lynnwood and will be accessible via livestream on the district’s website. This meeting reflects ongoing efforts to enhance educational funding and policy in the district.
