Edmonds-Woodway defeated league leader Archbishop Murphy 3-0, closing the gap in the 2A/3A Wesco League South standings. The Warriors' seniors, including Jane Hanson, Abby Peterson, and Magdalena Waters, each scored in a match characterized by strong teamwork and defensive excellence. Peterson's goal four minutes into the second half followed a precise pass from Isabella Dreitzier. The Warriors dominated possession, continually threatening the Wildcats' defense and limiting their shots to just three throughout the match. This victory ended Archbishop Murphy's nine-match unbeaten streak, a significant setback for the perennial powerhouse.

With the win, the Warriors improved to 6-1-3 in league play and moved to No. 3 in the District 1 3A RPI rankings, crucial for postseason seeding. Edmonds-Woodway aims to capture the conference title with two matches left in the regular season. "We really want to win Wesco," said Peterson, reflecting the team's determination.
