Lynnwood, WALocal News

Propeller Airports is set to expand Paine Field Airport's service, targeting major eastern U. S. hubs like Chicago and Atlanta, with a goal of reaching 4. 3 million annual passengers by 2040. Since its opening in 2019, the airport has rebounded from the pandemic, experiencing a 23% annual increase in passenger traffic.

Currently, it offers flights to nine destinations in the western U. S. and is working to restore a direct route to Anchorage, previously operated by Alaska Airlines. The airport's growth is timed with the FIFA World Cup coming to Seattle in 2026, which is expected to significantly increase passenger numbers. Propeller Airports is collaborating with local entities on advertising campaigns to attract visitors and stimulate economic activity in Snohomish County.

Lynnwood, a key destination for Paine Field passengers, is poised to become a hub for lodging and activities, as highlighted by local business leaders. The advertising program launched by Propeller at the terminal aims to drive foot traffic to local businesses, with statistics indicating high engagement rates among travelers. Business owners are encouraged to seize the opportunity to market their services as passenger numbers rise.
