Sound Transit suspends Link 1 Line service between Westlake and SODO stations on Saturday, August 23, for track barrier relocation and testing. The closure lasts from the start of service until 1 p. m. , necessitating shuttle buses to replace train service every 10–15 minutes. Shuttle buses will stop at all stations between Westlake and SODO, with Link trains operating every 12 minutes outside the affected area.

Southbound passengers must transfer to shuttles at Westlake Station before continuing south, while northbound riders will transfer at SODO Station. Sound Transit emphasizes its commitment to minimizing disruptions and ensuring access for all riders, including those with limited English proficiency. Staff ambassadors will be available at select stations to assist passengers throughout the service interruption. A language assistance line is available at 800-823-9230 for non-English speakers. Riders can sign up for automatic Rider Alerts for real-time updates on transit services.
