Bridge the Gap Festival and school supply giveaway Aug. 16

The Bridge the Gap Festival is scheduled for August 16 at Romans 116 Church in Lynnwood, running from 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. This outreach event will provide K-12 students with free backpacks and school supplies on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the giveaway, attendees can enjoy a variety of vendors, live DJs, music, food, and free haircuts. South South County firefighters and Everett Police Department officers will be present for a meet and greet, fostering community connections. The event is sponsored by Renew Church, Millenia Ministries, the Marine Corps Reserve, and Toys For Tots, highlighting local collaboration. Organizers aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens families face as the school year approaches. This initiative emphasizes community support and preparedness for students.
