Edmonds Driftwood Players announces 2025 scholarship winners

Edmonds Driftwood Players awarded $3,000 in scholarships to three graduating high school seniors: Lucas Harrison, Khaysia Lutfi, and Aidan Cavanaugh. Harrison, a prominent technical theatre student from Woodinville High School, will attend Western Washington University to major in theatre arts. He expressed that theatre helped him build self-confidence and discover a passion for scenic design. Lutfi, from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School, plans to study theatre arts with a minor in marketing at Hofstra University, aspiring to produce inclusive youth theatre.

Cavanaugh, an accomplished performer from Edmonds-Woodway High School, will pursue dual degrees in musical theatre and pre-veterinary science at Western Washington University. Each scholarship aims to honor influential figures in the theatre community, including Ralph Eaton and AC & Norma Gehrig. Their dedication to the arts and commitment to mentorship reflect the values of the Driftwood Players. The recipients shared how theatre profoundly shaped their lives and future ambitions.
