Enrollment open for WSU Sustainable Community Stewards fall training

The WSU Snohomish County Extension Office invites community members to enroll in its Sustainable Community Stewards fall training, scheduled from Sept. 10 to Nov. 15. Classes will be held each Wednesday from 6-8:30 p. m.

, alternating between in-person at Willis Tucker Park and online via Zoom. Participants will gain knowledge on climate change and recycling, along with skills to educate their communities. The training features expert speakers and field trips to local facilities, including WM Cascade Recycling and Cedar Grove Compost. Presentations will cover environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and the circular economy. The program costs $60, with a 10% discount for early registration before Aug.
