Homage Senior Services sells Lynnwood building, will move to Everett
Homage Senior Services has sold its Lynnwood headquarters for $11 million and will relocate to Everett, downsizing from 25,700 square feet to 4,600 square feet. The nonprofit has served Snohomish County for over 50 years, offering vital services to seniors and people with disabilities. Interim CEO Juli Rose emphasized that the mission remains unchanged during the transition. The Lynnwood site was purchased by Big Tree LLC, connected to Dong Lin, who owns Ascend Buffet, which plans to establish a new restaurant at the location. The new Everett office will provide opportunities for expanded programming, according to Rose.
Construction costs for the Ascend Buffet are estimated at $2. 5 million, and the restaurant will seat 700 people. While Homage's funding remains stable, they are keeping an eye on federal funding proposals. The move follows the Boy Scouts of America's transfer from Everett to Marysville, which was part of conditions related to a national lawsuit.
