The Liberty Mutual Foundation renewed its commitment to the Foundation for Edmonds School District with a second-year grant of $25,000, totaling $50,000 for the Nourishing Network. This funding allowed the program to deliver 12,474 nutritious meals, exceeding its goal by 46%. In addition, the Nourishing Network distributed 234,817 food items through weekend kits and monthly pop-up pantries. The initiative served up to 752 children weekly at three summer meal sites, pairing meals with interactive activities like robotics demos and Korean drumming. Liberty Mutual Foundation's support aligns with its philanthropic mission to enhance security and resiliency for vulnerable communities.

Deborah Brandi, the Foundation Executive Director, highlighted the importance of these efforts in conveying messages of hope to children. Community members can actively participate by hosting food drives and volunteering for delivery routes. The Nourishing Network exemplifies a successful partnership addressing food insecurity among students.
