At 8 p. m. , Sound Transit powered down the light rail system to allow crews to safely remove the fallen tree and perform necessary inspections. Buses replaced train services in the affected area while crews worked to restore normal operations.

Trains continued to run every 10 minutes between Shoreline North and Angle Lake during the disruption.
