Edmonds College designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense through 2030

Edmonds College has secured the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designation from the NSA through the 2030 academic year. This recognition highlights the college's dedication to preparing students for careers in cybersecurity, contributing to the protection of national infrastructure. Since 1999, Edmonds has been a pioneer in offering courses in digital forensics and cyber defense, providing students with crucial hands-on experience. Mike Andrew, an instructor at the college, noted that the designation exemplifies the program's strength and the quality of its NSA-recognized staff. The college has held a CAE designation since 2017, based on its robust programs and alignment with stringent educational criteria.

Edmonds offers a two-year associate degree in cyber defense and digital forensics, along with certificates that can be completed in as little as two quarters. This commitment to education has positioned Edmonds College as a leader in the cybersecurity field within Washington state. The college's programs aim to equip students with the skills needed to address pressing cybersecurity challenges in the real world.
