Escape room company Escapology opens its first WA location in Lynnwood

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Escapology opened its first location in Washington state at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, featuring nine escape rooms with themes such as Batman and Scooby-Doo. Participants must solve a series of puzzles within a 60-minute countdown, providing an engaging and immersive experience. General Manager Jade Egan, who joined the team two months ago, emphasized the mental challenge and enjoyment of escaping the rooms. Founded in Orlando in 2014 by brothers Simon and Paul Davison, Escapology has grown to over 80 locations globally. The company plans to cycle out older rooms to introduce new themes and puzzles regularly.

Each escape room experience requires participants to sign a liability waiver and watch an instructional video before entering. The rooms are designed for families, accommodating children ages 7 to 12, while younger children can join if accompanied by an adult. Egan noted that the collaborative nature of the escape rooms fosters happiness and camaraderie among participants.
