Celebration of life for Phyllis Gutirrez-Kenney June 28

A celebration of Phyllis Gutierrez Kenney's life will occur on June 28 from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Mountaineers Club in Seattle.

Kenney, who died on May 13, served for 16 years in the Washington State House of Representatives. She received the Ohtli Award last year for her work in fostering relationships with the Mexican community outside of Mexico. The event will allow friends, family, and community members to honor her legacy, sharing memories of her profound impact. Kenney's service included numerous roles on various boards and commissions at both state and international levels. Recognized for her leadership, she was also honored by the Washington State Senate for her advocacy.

Attendees are invited to reflect on her compassion and dedication to justice and opportunity for all. RSVPs are requested for those wishing to participate in the celebration.
