Summer teen cooking classes at Edmonds Waterfront Center starting July 24

Starting July 24, the Edmonds Waterfront Center will host cooking classes for teens, aimed at imparting essential culinary skills in partnership with Verdant Health Commission. Classes will run through October, with each 90-minute session featuring a unique recipe theme. Participants will learn to prepare nutritious meals while exploring safe kitchen practices and healthy eating habits. Experienced instructors will guide teens in experimenting with plant-based and whole-food ingredients. The summer schedule includes diverse recipes such as berry nutty quinoa salad and tofu crumble tacos.

Registration opens on July 1, and classes are open to teens aged 13-18. Interested teens can register by calling 425-774-5555 or visiting the website. This initiative promotes healthy cooking habits among youth in the community.
