Lynnwood, WALocal News

Snohomish County Public Works aims to complete final paving on 35th and 36th Avenues West by June 27. The project started on June 7, focusing on the area between Highway 99 and 164th Street Southwest. During construction, one lane will remain open for vehicles, with flaggers controlling traffic flow and a 20 mph speed limit enforced. The enhancements will introduce a center turn lane, sidewalks, bike lanes, bus pullouts, streetlights, and stormwater drainage facilities along the two-mile corridor. "Paving work is a milestone that means the corridor project is nearing completion," stated the county website.

This joint effort between the City of Lynnwood and Snohomish County will eliminate on-street parking to accommodate the improvements. The entire roadway will also be repaved from 164th Street Southwest to Highway 99. Completion of the project is anticipated in fall 2025.
